Disaster Repair Bids / Expressions of Interest
The Municipality of Swan Valley West was hard hit during the Summer 2026 rain storms. As a result several of our structures and other infrastructure were damaged and destroyed.
Major damage sites are being evaluated and engineering reports are being produced. You will find these reports below and more will be added as they become available.
We are seeking qualified firms to construct replacement infrastructure. We welcome proposals on projects. Given the importance of these assets we will be selecting vendors on an accelerated basis. If you wish to provide a proposal, please ensure your proposal provides answers to these key questions:
- Estimated Start Date at the Site
- Estimated Completion Date
- Cost Estimate – if higher than the report suggests we need to understand why you can not stay within the expected budget
- Examples of other work you have done that is similar
- References
It is the intention of council to award at least two projects during the month of August for completion in calendar 2026. Additional projects may be awarded on the same expedited basis.
Please note that submission of a proposal does not guarantee work. It is the basis on which we will chose which firms to further discuss each project. No award is made until we enter into a contract with your firm.
